Forget your net worth. These three numbers matter more.

Your advisor won't tell you this because it doesn't come with a fee attached.

Everyone obsesses over the portfolio number. It's the wrong obsession.

Here are three numbers that will do more for the next 20 years of your life than any 401(k) balance.

One. Hours you spend outside per week. Under 10 is a warning sign. Under 5 is a crisis. Sunlight, movement, and unstructured time do more for cognition than any supplement on the market.

Two. Weekly conversations with someone under 40. The single biggest predictor of "feeling old" isn't age — it's conversational isolation from younger generations. Grandkids count. So do neighbors, coworkers, and the barista who knows your order.

Three. Number of appointments on your calendar you actually want to go to. Not obligations. Not doctors. Not the wife's book club that you agreed to in a moment of weakness. Things you would pay money to attend.

Run the math on those three every Sunday. The portfolio can wait.
